Project Associate Vacancy in CSIR-NIO: Full Job Description
1.Project Associate and Senior Project Associate :- (Vacancy -02)
Qualification for Project Associate:-
Essential Qualification: M.Sc Marine Biology.
Experience in estuarine/marine benthos sampling and analyses. Familiarity with macrobenthic taxa. The
selected candidate will have to carry out sample collection in the coastal areas …by boat/trawler/cruise
participation. Sample processing and analysis for identification of macrobenthos. Data analysis and writing
research papers.
Qualification for Senior Project Associate:-
M.Sc in Marine Sciences with minimum 4 years research experience in R & D in Institutes / Academic Institutions / Science and Technology Organisations
Desirable :
Experience of working on marine invertebrates such as polychaetes, harpaticoids, copepods etc., research papers in Science SCI journals Participation in fieldwork, preparation of benthic data, statistical analyses, reports and Manuscript Preparation.
Experience in estuarine/marine benthos sampling and analyses.
Familiarity with macrobenthic taxa. The selected candidate will have to carry out sample collection in the coastal
areas …
Salary for Project Associate :- Salary: Rs. Rs.25000 /- Plus HRA as per rules.
Salary for Senior Project Associate: Rs.42000 /- Plus HRA as per rules
Selection Process :-
If number of applications are more, then selection committee will fix a criteria to shortlist the applicants. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. Selection will be done on the basis of online interview through either Skype/Google Meet/Zoom or any other suitable software, as decided by the competent authority.
