Eligibility, Minimum Educational Qualifications, and Work Experience Required:

Passport Officer:

(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) with five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in Pay Level-11 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience :

(i) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute;

(ii) Ten years experience in Passport or Consular or Emigration or Administration or Finance or Accounts or Vigilance work, in a Central or State Government Office.

Deputy Passport Officer:

(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) with five years service in Level-10 of the pay matrix or equivalent rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; and

(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience : (i) Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University or Institute; (ii) Seven years experience in Passport or Consular or Emigration or Administration or Finance or Accounts or Vigilance work, in a Central or State Government office.

Assistant Passport officer:

(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) with two years’ service in the Grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in the Pay Level-8 of the Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent Cadre or Department;

(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience : (i) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute; (ii) Three years experience in Passport or Consular or Emigration or Administration or Finance or Accounts or Vigilance work, in a Central or State Government office.

 

Age Limit:

The candidates applying for the 02 Honorary post of Passport Officer, Deputy & Assistant Passport Officer of the Juvenile Justice Board should be above 35 years of age as on last date of application.

Work Experience Required:

He shall also have atleast 07 years of experience of working with children in the field of education, health or welfare activities OR should have the above mentioned qualifications.

Pay Scale/Salary for Passport Officer, Deputy & Assistant Passport Officer Posts in Passport Office:

Passport Officer, Deputy & Assistant Passport Officer of the Board will be paid honorarium of Rs. 3500/- per sitting or as decided by the Government.
