Required Qualifications
Should be persons of eminence, ability, integrity,standing and experience in- (i) Education, (ii) Child health, care, welfare or child development, (iii) Juvenile Justice or Care of neglected or marginalized children or children with disabilities, (iv) Elimination of Child Labour or dealing with children in distress, (v) Child Psychology or sociology and (vi) Law relating to children.
Important Points to Remember for the applicants:
No person having any past record of violation of human rights or child rights shall be eligible for
appointment as the Members.
b) Every Members shall hold office, as such, for a term of three years from the date on which he/she
assumes office provided that no Members shall hold office as such after he/she has attained the age of 60 years.
c) The Members may by writing under his hand addressed to the Government resign at any time.
d) In case of retired government servants, the pay will be fixed in accordance with the prevailing orders i.e. last pay drawn minus pension. In case of public figures, Rs. 1,00,000/- p.m. consolidated for each Member.
e) There is no provision for hiring/allotment of a house or of House Rent Allowance.
f) The clause for removal from office and other relevant details may kindly be seen in the Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005 and the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights Rules, 2008.
g) The candidate shall not take up any other assignment fully or partially or otherwise.
h) She/he will not enter into any such activity which may constitute conflict of interest.
